I wondered why I couldn’t find her!

So, went to watch this film this evening with a few friends. Looks like it got absolutely SLATED in reviews.
I’m a massive fan of American Dad and Family Guy, and thankfully this film didn’t disappoint. Exactly my sort of humour. Definitely go see this if you enjoy American Dad or Family Guy. Chances are you’ll enjoy this too.

So, to hopefully help others avoid the same fate, I thought I’d share my experience with Orange / EE.
Thankfully I haven’t needed to call their Customer Service team very often. And if you do want Customer Service (and I use that term loosely), calling is your only option. Well, unless you fancy writing a letter. Because the company that claims they are ahead of the game, don’t even have an email address, which is truly shocking in this day and age.
So, my problems started a few months ago getting numerous sales calls and marketing texts. The texts have stopped thankfully, but the calls continue. I called to address this, so which I was advised “we never make outbound calls”. First lie, I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve been called by them trying to sell me additional services or to increase my service plan.
I then began to get error messages saying “sign into network”, during which I would have no way of making or receiving calls or texts. It would sometimes stay this way for hours. At first I thought it was my phone, so I actually bought a new phone… Same issue. My flatmate is on Orange… Same issue.
Around the same time, every call in five would result in me having to redial as they couldn’t hear me. Again, tried with multiple contacts and on different phones.
A short while later I get a call from Orange (even though they apparently don’t make outgoing calls). They advised me that I could move over to EE free of charge. All it would mean is that I’d have to pay five quid more a month, oh, and 4G isn’t available in my area. What an incentive…..
I became so sick of this that I actually contacted their “Executive Office”. I explained everything that happened, and quite frankly they felt they had an answer to everything.
I eventually decided that I wanted out, and so I requested the cancellation amounts for my accounts. I was given the cancellation amount for my contract, followed by another for a completely different account (shows how little they value security of people’s data!)
I actually have two accounts, one of which my Mum uses. That’s only used for very basic things and not very often. So, I explained that if they would release me from my contract, I would leave the second contract active with them. In addition, my partner is also on Orange and had agreed to do the same.
Despite that, they advised that I would have to pay the full amount to close my contract. As a result, as soon as I have sufficient funds in the next 3-4 weeks, we will be paying off and closing a total of three accounts with Orange.
Seemed logical to me for them to release me from my contract in order to retain the other two. But they’d obviously rather have nothing.
I was previously with O2, which is where I’ll be moving the contracts to. When I called them to cancel, they treated me like royalty. They seemed genuinely sorry to have me leave, and offered free upgrades, line reductions. I called Orange disconnections this evening to get the exact cancellation figures, and the girl didn’t even ask why I wanted to leave. Just a statistic to them.
I recently saw that Orange and T Mobile had the most complaints of network providers. Now I see why.

Some crazy woman following me around on GTA V… well, she be dead now! And apparently I’m a bad sport for blowing up her car too!

So, my little car ‘AKA Colby!’ has his MOT tomorrow. I am NOT looking forward to that!
Well, it’s been ages but finally got bored of waiting for the 4.2.2 update for the Xperia Z. Installed the unbranded Dutch one and seems to work fine! Lots of cool new features!

So, this evening I watched the above film - “Weekend”. It’s about a gay guy who meets someone, develops feelings for him and then he moves away - in a nutshell. I won’t go into details in case someone wants to watch it and doesn’t want spoilers.
What pisses me off is that in a lot of films lately, and it seems this is particularly true of gay themed films, there is so much unnecessary drug use. I mean, seriously, is it really needed? It really ruined what could have been a perfectly good film for me. If this is a remotely accurate representation of the real world, then I must say I’m pretty disgusted that so many people might need or want drugs to “enhance” their evening or lives!
